Barbara and Stan Pelczynska – my personal tribute to you joint wonderful generous passionate conservationists of Bendigo
Barbara Pelczynska, with Steven Ridd visiting from afar on a trip to family and friends in Victoria in October 2016. Both shared the deep sorrow of this so unnecessarily tragic killing of this iconic magnificent local Native elder directly across her street. This elder was healthy, perhaps 300 years old, but ignorant bureaucrats without checking just chainsawed it to death and no doubt, laughed.

In 2016,m is was such a wonderful opportunity for my wife and I to go out of our way especially to personally finally meet up with you both in your home in Bendigo at your invitation.
